The House on the Borderland
A film by James Coleman
Logline
A grieving recluse defends his isolated home from creatures emerging from a pit on the grounds — but as the siege continues, time collapses, and he discovers his house may stand on the threshold of eternity.
Synopsis
On a lonely stretch of the Irish wilderness, a reclusive man and his sister live in a circular house perched above a vast, bottomless chasm. When grotesque humanoid figures begin to climb from the darkness below, he fortifies the home and prepares for siege.
But the longer the house endures, the more reality begins to fail. Time fractures. Nights stretch into eras. The sky transforms. He witnesses impossible worlds, the death of stars, and the slow collapse of existence itself.
What begins as a fight for survival becomes an awakening—an encounter with an ancient force at the edge of creation, and a confrontation with the infinite.
