Announcing Elhu Studios and Our First Feature: The House on the Borderland

Elhu Studios was founded to create films that exist at the threshold between worlds — works defined by atmosphere, myth, and memory. The studio develops narrative and experimental cinema concerned with what cannot be fully seen or explained: the ancient, the unseen, and the emotional truths that remain long after the moment has passed.

Our first feature, The House on the Borderland, is currently in packaging. Adapted from the 1908 novel by William Hope Hodgson, the film follows a man defending his remote home against entities emerging from an abyss beneath it, as reality itself begins to erode. It is a story of isolation, grief, time, and the encounter with forces beyond human comprehension.

This project establishes the foundation of Elhu Studios: independent cinema created with discipline, intention, and a commitment to enduring artistic principles. The House on the Borderland represents the studio’s threshold — the point at which vision becomes reality, and where imagination is given lasting form through film.

Further work will be announced.
